Carbon and Nitrogen Footprint Compensation
We will strive towards organizing a carbon and nitrogen neutral conference. This means that greenhouse gas and reactive nitrogen emissions caused by attending the conference will be reduced as much as possible. In particular, we will exclusively serve vegetarian (and mostly organic) food. The remaining unavoidable C and N footprints of the conference will be quantified and compensated. We will consider both emissions derived from travel (which are dominant for CO2 emissions) and emissions from food production and consumption (dominant for N losses). Compensation will be done by supporting a certified offset project. Therefore, we will ask each attendant of the conference to contribute a small fee calculated based on the travel distances of the participants. Additional information on the measures to reduce the footprints, the quantification of the footprints, and the compensation project will be given at the conference.
Cancellation Policy
For cancellations received by May 31st, 2017 (11:59 pm CET), 100% of the registration fee will be refunded.
Cancellations received by June 23rd, 2017 (11:59 pm CET) will be refunded at 50% of the registration fee.
No refunds will be available for cancellations made after June 23rd, 2017 (00:00 am CET) or for no shows.
